Government moves to reduce red tape around school field trips In a sensible attempt to reduce the bureaucracy which makes school trips difficult to organise, the Government is attempting to simplify the guidelines, however teaching unions have criticised the move. Because of the USA Patriot Act, law enforcement authorities in the US have the right to access the personal data which is held by US-based companies.
