EC's Neelie Kroes Speaks on Cloud Computing and Privacy
The European Commission Vice-President for the Digital Agenda, Neelie Kroes, spoke last week about cloud computing and privacy. In her speech, she advocated the ongoing need for a high standard of data protection reiterated the importance of transparency and rule of law for data protection in the cloud computing age. Google Street View snaps naked German in das boot
Since its launch, Google Street View has thrown up a litany of both curious and concerning images. While cruising the suburbs of Mannheim in south-west Germany violating the privacy of the town's 300,000 inhabitents, the cameras picked up an image of a nude man cramming himself into the boot of a nearby Mercedes while a rabid-looking dog lies close by. Click here for the full story. While this latest example can only but make one chuckle, the images caught by Street View aren't always so funny.
