I wrote back in May about dementia sufferers into whom microchips had been inserted, to keep track of them - "for their own good".
I now note that US Pharma giant Merck is being sued as a chip they inserted into a pet cat seems to have given it cancer.
Just saying.

The key word is "seems". Correlation does not imply causation.
Considering such pet ID implants are sterilised when they are injected under the skin, there shouldn't be any problems. If there is its probably more likely to be due to an infected implant from sloppy pratices at the vet.

Fair point and "seems" was indeed included most carefully! But we shall of course watch the outcome of the case with interest.
