Google Street View shows dead bodies
The bodies of murder victims and those killed in fatal hit and run accidents have been captured and displayed in Google Street View images in Brazil (caution - link contains graphic images). Google has now taken these particular images down from Street View (though new ones are being reported quite regularly) - albeit not before they were captured and copied by enough users to ensure that they will remain in circulation. Whilst I'm sure that their belated removal from Street View is an enomous comfort to the loved ones of said victims, I can't help but feel that this is...

Land of my fathers
Bury St Edmunds. My home town. Sigh. Over at the Daily Mail, this story. Apparently, at least two morons visitors to the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds have complained about being struck by a conker after walking beneath boughs of a large tree. So the council, taking no chances, put a temporary warning sign on it: Beware Falling Conkers – Please Proceed with Care... It's a real shame that we have to put up these measures, but it's even more of a shame that vandalism and violence happens as frequently as it rains outside. I personally believe that CCTV and surveillance protects us, infact facts and statistics prove it, if we removed all our cctv tomorrow, there would be chaos in the cities like fires out of control. http://www.idealcctv.co.uk/mega-pixel-ip-security-cameras New IP cctv cameras are integrated into our security computer networks and synchronized with the police for our protection and safety. Without them, the police are substantially blind to a huge proportion of crime.
