Alex is invited to appear on Epilogue - Press TV's book review programme - and joins host, Ken Livingstone, and Rodney Austin, a Human Rights Lecturer at University College London, to discuss 'The Assault on Liberty: What went wrong with rights' by Dominic Raab.
Dominic is a good friend of Big Brother Watch and his book is essential reading for anyone who cares about privacy and freedom in Britain. It is available on Amazon here: The Assault on Liberty.
Good afternoon Alex, you came across as a smart , well educated and a very polite person. I realise there was very little time but I would have loved for you to ask Ken Livingstone where he got the figure people feel safer with CCTV? and what an inane remark, people feel they are less likely to bo robbed.
I think you would have done better to have asked and answered the questions yourself. lol

There's an extra 20 minutes to this session lurking somewhere... I've asked Press TV if they'll put that up too.

Livingstone is a poisonous weasel who has never told the truth in his life.
You, Alex, are right - we are not 'drifting into becoming a police state' - we ARE a police state.
Thank you for your input and keep fighting!

@ opsimath
In fact we are not a police state but a large island open prison which is closing and being locked down bit by bit. It seems that even this means of freedom of expression is to be licensed in future so enjoy it while it lasts.
Google v. Microsoft? "Calls to mandate Internet users to obtain licenses, in other words government permission, before they can post to the web have grown in recent weeks, with top Microsoft executive Craig Mundie insisting at the recent Davos Economic Forum that the Internet should be policed."

A discussion about privacy and freedom on an Iranian govt funded and editorially controlled english news channel - you just couldn't make it up.....and the presenter (Livingstone) is someone who has long campaigned for gay rights in the UK yet works for an organisation that is funded by a cruel and repressive regime that executes homsexuals by hanging them. Shame on you both.
