First, a surveillance balloon termed "a covert intelligence tool" by police has been scrapped because it couldn't cope with bad weather, yet the £80,000 'Eagle Eye' blimp was the size of a truck with 'POLICE' written in 10ft letters on the side.
Second, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown reported Tory Councillor Gareth Compton to the police after he posted a 'glib' tweet which said: "Can someone please stone Yasmin Alibhai-Brown to death? I shan't tell Amnesty if you don't. It would be a blessing, really".
You might, or might not, have laughed at this but here we are with yet another waste of police time and taxpayers' money and another silly assault on free speech. Alibai-Brown reported Compton for incitement, he has been arrested, bailed and suspended from the Conservative Party.
The 'vibrant' writing by Alibhai-Brown concerning her views on certain sections of the population she dislikes are presumably OK.
